About Us

Wolverine supplies wholesale electric power
to five member-cooperatives:

   Wolverine Power Cooperative is a not-for-profit,
   member-owned generation and transmission
   electric cooperative based in Cadillac, Michigan.

Wolverine Statistics:

Owns and operates five electric generating facilities capable of producing 200 megawatts of internal generation, primarily peaking capacity
Maintains 130 distribution substations and 36 transmission substations
Serves member-cooperatives with over 1,600 miles of bulk transmission lines
Owns and operates a state-of-the-art Energy Control Center for monitoring of all transmission and merchant functions
Had an annual peak demand in 2005 of 451 megawatts
Sold a total of 2,240,081 MWh to transmission member systems in 2005
Receives all financing from the private sector, with no government funding
Regulated by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission
