Spartan Renewable Energy, Inc. (Spartan) is a private, for-profit corporation, incorporated under the laws of the State of Michigan, to sell renewable energy and environmental attributes to commercial and industrial customers under Michigan’s electric customer

choice programs. Spartan was founded in 2006 and obtained its Alternative Electric Supplier (AES) license from the State of Michigan in 2007.

Spartan specializes in the packaging and sale of traditional and renewable energy to retail customers in Michigan and the sale of related environmental attributes, such as Renewable Energy Credits (REC’s).

Spartan Renewable Energy will serve as a conduit for prospective renewable energy projects/developers to both wholesale markets within the Midwest ISO footprint and large industrial customers in Michigan through the state’s electric customer choice program.
