The Wolverine Clean Energy Venture (WCEV) is Wolverine Power Cooperative's development of new electric generation projects at sites near Rogers City, Michigan. The WCEV has two components - a base load power plant and a wind turbine farm.

Wolverine is developing the WCEV to meet the long-term power supply needs of its members. Wolverine is owned by and provides wholesale electric power to:

• Cherryland Electric Cooperative
• Great Lakes Energy
• HomeWorks Tri-County Electric Cooperative
• Midwest Energy Cooperative
• Presque Isle Electric & Gas Co-op
• Spartan Renewable Energy
• Wolverine Power Marketing Cooperative

Wolverine Power Cooperative plans to continue its development of the Wolverine Clean Energy Venture. However, it's anticipated work on the project will be limited in 2012. New emission rules passed by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in December 2011 make construction of a new power plant extremely difficult for any utility. Wolverine continues to believe the proposed Rogers City site is a world-class location for a generating facility.
