Wolverine Power Cooperative has completed testing at the site of its proposed wind farm development near Rogers City.
The cooperative contracted with DEWI North America, a leading wind energy research and consulting company, to assess weather data collected from the meteorological (MET) tower located near the proposed project site. DEWI found that weather conditions at the site would be adequate for the generation of wind energy.
Further development of the wind farm is dependent on Wolverine’s advancement of the power plant project.
Wolverine is purchasing the entire output of the Harvest Wind Farm from under along term agreement.
Harvest, the first commercial-scale wind farm in Michigan, consists of 32 turbines. The farm can meet the electric needs of approximately 15,000 homes when all turbines are operating.
